Kids growing up in in modern society, with new technological advancements, are engaging in sedentary activities more frequently. This behavior often comes at the expense of physical activity and can have an impact on overall health, including sleep quality, which is vital for growth and development. Increased screen time, particularly before bed,  has been linked with poor sleep quality and delayed sleep onset.

Parents maintain a vital role in reducing the impact of screen time on sleep, through bedtime routine managements and regulation of screen use. Parental sleep habits also play a key role in the developments of a Childs own sleep habits. Limiting screen time before bed is important for not only children but also for parents, leading to improved sleep quality and overall health for the whole family.
