There is a lot of misinformation going around in the media of COVID-19. You will see stories about COVID-19 from every news source, while these vehicles may draw your attention to breaking news eg: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-03-13/coronavirus-scott-morrison-coag-premiers-cancelling-events/12053382, some mainstream media and social media may have so much published in front of you that it can be tough to tell fact from fiction.

The Lancet (a reliable scientific publication) recently posted an article about how to fight this misinformation: https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(20)30461-X/fulltext. With the CDC website also publishing some fact sheets to help stop the spread… of misinformation: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/about/share-facts.html.

So please keep up to date, follow the reliable advice (eg hand hygiene) and try not to be brought into the hysteria. Definitely stay alert, be proactive in a positive way and keep well informed, not misinformed.
