Recently Mark Schier and Yossi Rathner from the Conversation website posted an interesting article on yawning. They look at some theories as to the purpose of yawning, triggers of yawning, who yawns and they also offer some neuroscience explanations of this yawning reflex.  Here in the sleep unit we are quite used to yawning, we see it all the time. This article is quite an interesting read, follow the link and have a read for yourself!
