Sleep Foundation recently posted an article reviewing an interesting topic “Can we fight Superbugs with sleep?….

In today’s current COVID-19 climate, most people have a heightened sense of awareness for keeping a healthy immune system. Getting a good night’s sleep is in fact an important part of maintaining this process.

The article looks into the relationship between sleep and our immune system’s ability to fight off infections:

‘Some infections are getting more dangerous, and we’re getting sicker, despite antibiotics — or perhaps, in spite of them. Strains of viruses, bacteria, and fungi that mutate so they become immune to antibiotics and other medications are known as superbugs. These infections kill more than 700,000 people every year, according to the World Health Organization. So, what can we do about it? We can start by sleeping.’
